Silk Wedding Flowers in Houston
Most brides arrive with a photo saved on their phone and a color swatch in hand. What they don’t have is a number — how many stems make eight bridesmaid bouquets, how much greenery a ceremony backdrop takes, whether the blush in the picture reads the same in silk as it does in the photograph. Working that out with you is what our designers do, and it's included when you shop with us.
Family-owned and serving Houston since 1988, our 22,000-square-foot showroom holds the silk flowers, greenery, and fillers for the whole wedding — bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, centerpieces, pew florals, and ceremony backdrops. You choose it together, take it home, and assemble on your own schedule, whether that's you, your florist, or the aunt who volunteered.
Building Your Own Silk Wedding Flowers
Plenty of brides want to arrange their own flowers, and we’re glad to help. Bring your inspiration photos and your color palette, and one of our designers will walk the floor with you, help you pick your stems, and show you how the pieces work together. We’ll talk through greenery, proportion, and how many stems you actually need. The design help is included.
Most brides tell us the greenery is what surprises them. It carries the whole arrangement, and it's the easiest thing to get wrong when you’re ordering from a photograph.
Everything for One Wedding, in One Place
The showroom carries the full range for a wedding — bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, table centerpieces, pew florals, ceremony arrangements, and the greenery and fillers that hold them together. Backdrops too, in pieces you take home and assemble.
Most families work through the whole list in a single visit. You’ll see the palette come together in front of you rather than across a series of screens, and you’ll leave knowing what you have and what still needs deciding.
Some brides ask us to build a bouquet for them. We take those on occasionally — ask a designer while you’re here.
See Your Colors Together, Under One Light
A screen can only show you so much about color. The blush in your inspiration photo, the swatch from your dress shop, and the stem you order online may all have been photographed under different lighting, and they can look surprisingly different once they’re sitting together.
Bring your swatches and inspiration photos to the showroom. You can hold them against the actual flowers, place greenery beside the blooms, compare shades and textures, and see how the pieces work together in person. It's a much easier way to make confident decisions about your wedding palette before you buy.
Why Brides Choose Silk Flowers for a Wedding
Silk flowers remove some of the timing and seasonal limitations that come with fresh flowers. You can build your bouquets well before the wedding, box them carefully, and have the floral pieces ready when you need them, without worrying about wilting or keeping stems in water.
They also give you more freedom with seasonal availability. Peonies in October, garden roses in January, or a particular flower combination that’s difficult to source for your wedding date can still be part of the design.
And the flowers can stay with you after the wedding. A bridal bouquet doesn’t have to disappear when the celebration is over. With quality artificial flowers, the arrangement can become something you keep and enjoy long after the wedding day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy individual stems to make my own wedding flowers?
Yes. Individual flowers, greenery, and fillers are available so you can build your own bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony pieces, and other wedding arrangements.
Will someone help me figure out how much I need?
Yes. Bring your inspiration photos and color palette, and a designer can help you select flowers, greenery, and fillers and think through the quantities needed for the different pieces of your wedding, from bouquets and boutonnières to centerpieces and ceremony florals. The design help is included.
Can I bring fabric swatches to match colors?
Please do. Fabric swatches, dress photos, and inspiration images can all be helpful. Comparing them with the actual flowers and greenery in the showroom gives you a much better sense of how the colors work together than comparing images on a screen.
Do you make custom bridal bouquets?
Occasionally. Some brides ask us to create a bouquet for them, and we take on a limited number of these requests depending on the project and availability. Ask a designer when you visit the showroom.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome during showroom hours, so you can come in, explore the wedding flowers and décor, and talk with a designer when you are ready.
